The Tribe Has Spoken: Week 9 Update

Hi Everyone,

Ed continues to dominate. He is the only player left that has an intact strongest 5 and is also the only player with his entire weakest five voted out. Gene moves into a second place tie with Kim M. & Tim.

Below are the updated standings. You know the drill. You'll forgive me if I'm not inspired to try to write anything humorous this week. After all, I was the low scorer for the week, and, as if that weren't enough, they voted out my favorite survivor...

The Tribe Has Spoken: Week 8 update

Ed continues to lead with another strong week, posting 20 points. He was not the top scorer, however, as that honor goes to Cindy with 21 points. Both of these players had Mookie (who found the other individual immunity idol) among their strongest, earning an 8-point bonus.

"Should I stay or should I go? Nuh nuh nuh nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh" (with my apolgies to The Clash and Joe Strummer, who is now undoubtedly spinning in his grave...)

The race for second is tightly bunched, however, and it's still anyone's game. Gene finally had one of his strongest 5 knocked out, leaving only Ed, Tim, and the Kims with a complete set.

The Tribe has Spoken: Week 7 Update

Hi All,

Well, now that I've finished accidentally posting this update to my bookclub's blog (embarrassed!) I'm finally ready to add it here where it belongs...

"Ain't gonna be no rematch!"

At last! Rocky is gone. I'm sure we'll all miss his soft-spoken manner and heartfelt compassion for his teammates.

OK, well anywhoo... Beverly & Margaret were our top scorers this week with 26 points, followed closely by Nadea with 25. All of these players benefited from Yau-Man finding the immunity idol (sure took him long enough...) thus earning them the 8-point bonus. They also were among those who had Rocky as 'weak' and got the 6-point bonus for him being voted off. Ed still leads and is joined by Gene, Tim, & the Kims as the only players with their strongest 5 intact. It's still anybody's game. Below is the updated scoring table. The Tribe has Spoken: Week 6 update

Tim was our leading scorer this week with 20 points. He was one of only two pool players with Anthony on his weakest list. (How is it that more of us didn't have Anthony as weak? Some of us (ahem...) even had him on our strongest lists...)

James - a.k.a. Rocky - certainly didn't earn a lot of fans at tribal council, either. Can't see him lasting much longer.

Ed's streak of having everyone voted out being on his weakest list ended finally (and thank goodness, since Michelle is my new favorite...) Ed maintains his lead this week, although Tim picked up some ground on him and has moved into second place.

The Tribe Has Spoken: Week 5 Update

Ed continues to lead as he now is 4 for 4 in having those being voted out on his weakest list. Very impressive. Ed, Tim and Gene were our top scorers this week with 19 points apiece, followed closely by Kim M with 18, then Mary & Margaret with 16.

The Tribe Has Spoken: Week 4 update

Bye bye to Gary (a.k.a. Papa Smurf) and Liliana.

First of all, a couple corrections have been made to week one scoring:

1) I had mistakenly thought Rita was on the immunity-winning tribe when she was not, thus giving a few of you an extra point in error

2) I forgot to include the 'exile-island bonus' points. (this edition of the pool, you get 1 point if one of your weakest is sent to exile island, and 2 points if one of your strongest goes)

I've updated the 'scoring' post to show - in red text - how each week is scored. Let me know if you have any questions.

We have a new leader in the pool. It's Ed, who was our top scorer this week with 27 points and was the only one to have both exiting players on his 'weakest' list. Most of us had Gary, but only Ed & Shanna had Liliana. Elaine has dropped to second and there is a three-way tie for third between defending pool champion Darren, Mary & Shanna - all at 38 points total.

I have amended week one scores in the following table. (as usual, you can click on the table to see it larger size, then just 'arrow-back' to get back to the post)
